Creating Balance for a Better Life
A Destination to Grow
Welcome to PeaceTree Training
At PeaceTree, we believe that everyone should have access to high quality therapy services regardless of ability to pay and we also believe in the importance of quality training and mentoring our future psychotherapists and psychologists. These two beliefs led to the creation of PeaceTree Training where anyone interested could receive low-cost therapy from carefully selected interns who are supervised by our licensed therapists and licensed psychologists which often results in one of the highest levels of care since our interns are learning the newest and most effective treatments available while being supervised closely by seasoned experienced therapists.
We are able to provide this service to the community by offering low cost therapy for $45 a session through our Master’s Intern Program and $110 a session through our Postdoctoral Internship Program. Our Master’s level Interns are master’s level students in the final year of their graduate programs who are carefully selected based on life experience and professional training to ensure the highest quality for our patients. Our postdoctoral interns have a doctorate degree in clinical psychology and come to us after completing a dissertation, practicum/internship training and a full year of a full-time predoctoral internship.
All interns are closely supervised by doctoral level licensed psychologists and licensed psychotherapists. They meet with supervisors for several hours each week to discuss their work and to review recordings of their sessions. They also participate in regular training and professional development to increase their understanding and expertise in several clinical areas. PeaceTree believes that clients receive the best treatment from their interns when their sessions are recorded and viewed in supervision. Interns discuss this option with all of their clients, who can then opt out if they choose. Recordings are treated with the utmost care, protected as required by law, and deleted following review in supervision.
